Oh, Lord Shiva, save us from the claw of the tiger, the fang of the cobra, and the vengeance of the Afghan – An old Hindu prayer

Afghans (Pathan) could be the only people, who have never accepted the domination of a foreign power. Alexander the Great, Russian Czars, British colonialists, and Red Army – all tried their best to defeat the will of these proud people – but all failed miserably in the end. Since October, 2001 – the US and its western willing allies have been trying similar imperialistic dream of converting the dignity of deep-routed Islamic/Pakhtoon society into a submissive western immoral culture under the slogan of liberty and democracy – which interestingly doesn’t not exist in their own societies.

It were Afghan Mujahideen, and not the US Army, which destroyed the invinsible myth of the Red Army – and destroyed the last remain colonial entity and world’s second super-power (USSR). Like western tradition of disloyalty – instead of being grateful to Afghan people for making US the world’s sole super-power – the US invaded Afghanistan on flimsy excuses to destroy another Muslim country.

On Sunday, October 14, 2001 – a week after the commencement of US attack on Afghanistan – London’s Independent Television (ITN) was still broadcasting the news every hour that FBI doubted if Al-Qaeda was involved in the WTC incident. However, the Zionist controlled mass media simply allowed this fact to die a quiet death for Israeli interests while the murderous bombing of innocent Muslims continued unabated.

Since December 2001 – Under constant Taliban and local dischanted public – the western puppet regime of Hamid Karzai (a US citizen) has not been able to extend its writ beyond the city of Kabul. After seven years of fighting with greatly ill-equipped Afghan resistance – the world’s sole super-power (US) and its western allies have finally admitted that there is no millitary solution to the “Afghan problem” and that a political solution must be worked out. This is a long way from heady days of November 2001, when the ‘sole super-power’ appeared invincible as the Taliban were pushed out of Kabul.

Like US forces - NATO forces too have failed to defeat Taliban, who are gaining more and more daring successes in the recent months – from 1200 prisoners rescued from Sarposa prison in Qandahar (close to Canadian military base) on June 13; capturing of a dozen villages in Arghandab province, and Taliban poising a strike on Qandahar city – Afghanistan’s second largest city and hometown of Taliban.

Karzai administration has cost over US$45 billion to western donors at the Bonn and Paris Conferences. However, the money is not for rebuilding the infrastructure destroyed by US and its western allies – but to protect the puppet regime and supply of world’s 93% heroin – a US$700 billion trade mostly controlled by the Jews. UN Human Development index has ranked Afghanistan under US occupation worse than under Taliban rule – fourth from the bottom on a list of 178 countries.

After Zionist Armitage has softened up Pakistan’s military dictator, Gen. Pervez Musharraf through his emissary – US secretary of states, Gen. Collin Powell called him up in Islamabad: “As one general to another, we need someone on our flank fighting with us. Speaking candidly, the American people would not understand if Pakistan was not in this fight with the US”. The elated Powell then called Iran’s Spiritual leader and supreme commander of Iranian Armed Force, Ayatullah Khomeini – but was shocked to his response: “You Americans have the most stupid president (Bush), who expects the heads of a soveriegn nations (Pakistan and Iran) and dictates his philosophy of ‘either with US or against US’. I don’t like Taliban, but I will never allow the US forces to use Iranian space or ground to attack my fellow Muslim Afghan.”

Irony of the situation is that Pakistan, which played the front line for US invasion of Afghanistan in October 2001 – is now blamed for American failure by all three players – the US, NATO and Karzai. US Gen. Dan McNeill, who commands NATO troops in occupied Afghanistan, admitted last month that even if Pakistan were able to completely seal the border (an impossible job), that would still not end the local resistance in Afghanistan.

Under such circumstances, the only honourable alternative left for the invaders is to pack-up and leave the Afghan nation to make their own reconciliation – which they had done several times in the past history.
